How creators get paid for AI content of themselves
On ICONS, nothing is charged until everyone has signed. The brand then pays the full quote through the payment processor, and each part is paid out when it is earned: the license after the final assets are delivered, production when the delivery is accepted, and posting after ICONS verifies the post, with 20% held until the post has stayed up for the agreed period.
Payout timing
License: after the approved final assets are delivered and the license term starts. Production: when the production delivery is accepted. Posting: after verification, with a 20% holdback for the minimum live period (30 days by default).
Agencies
If an agency represents you, its commission is split from each payment at the rate you signed. It is paid directly to each party, or collected by the agency only if you allowed that.
Cancellations
Before funding, nothing is owed. After that, refunds follow the signed payment and cancellation schedule, and only unearned parts are refunded.
Questions
Is the money held in escrow?
No. The brand pays up front and transfers to recipients are delayed until each part is earned. ICONS does not describe this as escrow.
Are payments live?
Yes. Brands pay through Stripe once everyone has signed the quote, and creators are paid through Stripe. Bookings are US-only during the pilot.
